Resting at home
We would like to update everyone on Rory Watson's concussion situation.
Rory was helped off the field with concussion following an incident in the first half of yesterday's game, and was then taken to the A and E department at Darlington Memorial Hospital.
Following precautionary tests and X rays which did not detect any injuries , Rory was discharged last night and is now resting at home, which we are sure that everyone is pleased about, and will wish him all the best. We would like to thank Darlington physio Luke Roberts, the Scarborough physio and the Memorial staff for their help.
Because Rory has suffered a concussion, the protocols for concussion mean that he will miss the South Shields game on Monday at least, and after liaising with the league, we are searching for an emergency keeper with their permission.
