RSPB free parking offer for outdoor Darlo fans
RSPB Saltholme are offering free parking to Darlington fans on production of their DFCSG membership card or their DFC season ticket (car parking is normally £5 for non-members of RSPB).
Saltholme is a wildlife reserve and discovery park near Billingham, and signposted from the A689 roundabout just off the A19. At Saltholme there’s a world of amazing birds, wildflowers and special animals like hares and water voles. There's also a great shop, cafe, centre and wildlife garden to explore, as well as a great adventure play area and loads of fun events. For more information please visit the website www.rspb.org.uk/saltholme.
Admission to the wildlife reserve and discovery park is free for adults and children (but donations are welcome), although charges may apply at special events. RSPB Saltholme is open every day except Christmas Day.
If you're new to birdwatching, Saltholme is the perfect place to start. These family-friendly wetlands have a helpful visitors’ centre, hides and screens which let you get up close to water rail, yellow wagtails and terns.
