Ruel Fox is the latest player to sign up for the Marathon Bet #NonLeagueChallenge legends match!

Exciting winger Ruel started his career at Norwich City, and helped them reach the last 16 of the UEFA Cup after memorably beating Bayern Munich (former Darlington assistant manager Ian Butterworth was in the same squad).

He made over 200 appearances for the Canaries, before Kevin Keegan signed him for Newcastle United for a fee of £2.25 million in February 1994 – Keegan called him the best player in that position in the country at the time.

He played 14 games for the Entertainers that season, and went on to make a total of 58 appearances, scoring 12 times, before he moved to Tottenham in October 1995 for a £4.25 million.

He stayed at Tottenham for four seasons before switching to WBA, helping them win promotion to the Premier League in 2001-02.

He earned 2 caps for England, and 2 full caps for Montserrat, for whom he had a spell as coach.
