Quakers gained revenge for their Boxing Day defeat at the hands of Scarborough with a convincing win at the Flamingo Land Stadium, their seventh away win in a row.

The game was stopped for 35 minutes because of an incident involving the assistant referee, but that didn't bother Quakers as they sliced Scarborough apart and go back to the top of the table.

Scarborough couldn't cope with Quakers' pace and movement, with Kaine Felix, Jacob Hazel and Mark Beck all running riot. Beck and Hazel both scored two apiece, while Jack Lambert scored the goal of the match with a 30 yard free kick that flew into the top left hand corner of the net -- it's another contender for goal of the season.

Scarborough gained a corner in the first minute, and the ball came out to the edge of the box where Dan Greenfield fired well over the top.

Quakers went up the other end, and Beck helped on Tommy Taylor’s long goal kick, and Cracknell just got the ball before Felix.

Coulson cut in from the right for Scarborough, but Jassem Sukar stopped him and won a goal kick.

Quakers won their first corner on 6 minutes, Cracknell flapped at Lambert’s inswinger for a corner on the other side, but Scarborough got the ball away.

Quakers had a half chance on 14 minutes when Hazel picked the ball up on the left, but off balance, he fired over the top.

Alex Purver found Felix down the right with a great ball, but Hazel couldn’t quite get to his cross in the middle.

Beck nearly found Hazel through the middle with a good ball, but Cracknell dashed off his line and saved at his feet.

Quakers missed a great chance on 20 minutes. Hazel broke clear down the right and squared the ball into the middle, but Beck sidefooted wide.

Quakers took the lead on 22 minutes. They won a free kick on the right hand side, and the ball was floated in by Felix for Beck to head firmly past Cracknell, his 17th of the season.

They got the second on 34 minutes. A long ball by Lambert from just outside his own box caught the Scarborough defence flat footed and Hazel broke away and lobbed Cracknell for his 11^th of the season.

It was nearly 3-0 on 37 minutes, when Hazel laid the ball off for Felix, who just missed from ten yards out.

Scarborough won a corner on 43 minutes, but Tommy Taylor fisted the ball away.

Quakers broke again on 45 minutes when Beck sent Hazel running through in the inside left position, and his effort was well saved at the near post by Cracknell. Scarborough nearly scored just on half time when Burton pulled the ball back from the left, for Weledji to fire into the side netting.

Quakers started the second half with a corner that was cleared by the Scarborough defence.

Scarborough’s Luca Colville tried his luck with a low shot that Taylor saved at full stretch, then Taylor saved again from sub Ciaran McGuckin.

It was 3-0 on 53 minutes, when Hazel picked up a pass from lambert, turned and broke free inside the Scarborough box, held off two defenders and sidefooted the ball in.

There was then a 38 minute hold up while the referee took both teams off the field following allegations of abusive remarks at the assistant.

After 61 minutes of play, rampant Quakers got another, when Hazel broke through on the left, and squared the ball for Beck to tap in at the far post.

Quakers nearly got a fifth when Felix broke clear, but he pulled his shot wide of the post, then Jack Lambert got away on the right, chipped the keeper, but the ball came back off the bar.

Lambert though scored the goal of the match on 77 minutes. Quakers were awarded a free kick 30 yards out, and Lambert smashed the ball right footed into the top left corner of the net.

He missed another chance a few minutes later when Adriano Moke found him on the left, and he volleyed just over the top.

Scarborough pulled one back when Coulson ran through and beat Taylor, then Coulson scored another from the spot.

But Quakers finished the game as well-deserved winners, and back on top of the league.
