Darlington are delighted to confirm that Scott Barrow has signed on for the 2026/27 season, subject to FA and National League approval.

Scott, 37, enters his fourth year at the club after joining the Quakers from York City first on loan in January of 2024 and played a major part in the great escape season, making 19 appearances. He has made 110 appearances for the club and been a vital component in the club's defence, where he has scored twice. The defender made 45 appearances last season, where he scored one goal, which was a free-kick that came against Marine.

Manager Steve Watson spoke about having Scott committed for the next season: “(Scott) keeps defying his years. For somebody in his late 30s, he plays so many games and is so consistent. Deceptively quick and very rarely gets done one-v-one. Someone who can play left back, left wing back, left centre half. As long as Scotty feels like he can keep playing, I am certainly wanting him in my team. Delighted to get Scotty on board."
