Darlington are delighted to announce the signing of Shea Connor from Middlesbrough on a month-long loan until November 28th, subject to National League and FA clearance.

Shea, 21, is a young, talented keeper who Darlo fans have seen before on an emergency loan against Scarborough Athletic in the 24/25 season and put in a good performance on a day’s notice.

Shea has gone on to feature for Boro’s u21’s numerous times and featured on the bench for the first team a handful of times. Last season Shea went on loan to Gateshead near the end of the season and featured in one game for the Heed in the last game of the season against Altrincham.

Interim manager Terry Mitchell said; "Bobby needs to take time out for family reasons, so therefore Middlesbrough have kindly loaned us Shea, whom we have been keeping an eye on this season. He's a very good young keeper with plenty of potential."

Shea comes straight into the squad for Spalding United.

We would like to thank Middlesbrough for their help in arranging the loan, and we hope Shea enjoys his second stint with us.
