Now that our own fate is settled and we don’t have a play off game to occupy ourselves with on Tuesday night, why not go to the Brewery Field in Spennymoor to support our neighbours in their First Division North play off semi against Burscough?

Darlington FC owes Spennymoor and their chairman Brad Groves a huge debt of thanks for their great gesture in allowing us to host two league games late in the season at the Brewery Field – both of which Quakers won – and it would be great if Darlo fans could turn out in force to cheer on the Moors! Moors play in black and white as well, so Darlo scarves will come in handy.

There are several former Darlo players at the Brewery Field including old favourites David Dowson and Joe Tait. Remember that goal by Dowsa last season?

Darlington manager Martin Gray said; "It would be great for as many Darlo fans as possible to go along and back Jason's team. If it wasn't for Brad Groves, we would have been playing on three successive nights in the last week of the season."
