Darlington are happy to announce the signing of Tom Henson on a short-term deal after a successful trial period with the club, subject to National League and FA clearance.

Tom, 21, is another trialist who has put in good performances so far in pre-season, impressing off the right-hand side, which has ultimately earned him a deal from Steve and Terry. 

A former Doncaster Rovers youth Tom departed Rovers in 2022. He signed for  Step 4 side Malvern Town where he has called up to the English Universities squad in 2024 while studying at Hartpury University. In 2025 he moved back up North and signed for Newton Aycliffe where he played as a midfielder.
