Tommy: We must be more clinical

Preview and stat pack of tonight's away game at Bradford PA

Darlington manager Tommy Wright wants his players to be more clinical in front of goal at Bradford Park Avenue tonight.

Quakers were wasteful in front of goal at Leamington last Saturday and dropped two points in a 2-2 draw, and Tommy said; “Bradford are a team in form, having become the first team this season to beat Chorley at the weekend.

“But we go there full of confidence with seven points out of the last nine. I was very happy with the way we played in the first hour on Saturday, but we should have taken more of the chances that came along. We need to be more clinical in front of goal.”

Saturday’s 2-2 draw left Quakers 14th in the table, while Bradford are in third.

We have already met this season when Bradford PA knocked us out of the FA Cup with a 1-0 win at Blackwell Meadows.

Our trip to Bradford last season saw us come away with a 1-0 victory thanks to a second half strike from Dave Syers.
