Darlington Under15s first game was against South Tyneside and proved to be an excellent game.
Darlington took the lead in the first half and quickly added to that.
South Tyneside soaked up the pressure and kept the Darlington side on their toes.
A mix up in defence lead to South Tyneside scoring to make it 2-1 early in the second half. The rest of the half proved to be a battle with Darlington missing a number of chances and good goalkeeping from South Tyneside, who always looked dangerous seeking that second goal.
Final score 2-1, and both managers agreed the game was a credit to both sets of players.
