Peter Jameson has kept five clean sheets in the league this season, Lee Gaskell has scored two hat tricks since he joined.

Why not join our Sponsor a Goal scheme?

You don’t have to pay out for the goals that the team score – and let’s hope that there are plenty more this season as we chase “3 in 4” – but you can sponsor the team for anything you like, such as:

£2 for a win

£2 for a penalty scored by one of our lads, or £10 for one saved by Peter Jameson

£5 for every goal scored by Nathan Cartman

£10 for every goal scored by Chris Hunter

£1 for every headed goal

50 p for every corner forced by Darlo

£1 for every goal in the first five minutes of the game.

There are all sorts of possibilities – someone is even sponsoring the team for every postponed match! (Let’s hope he or she stops paying out soon!) It can be any amount you want, it doesn’t have to be the amounts stated above, they’re just examples. It’s entirely up to you.

Pledges can be made for individual matches, or over the rest of the season.

Plus, we’d love to hear about the most unusual pledges to put on the official website!

The scheme has already raised £750 in hard cash which has been passed on to the club, and Ian would love to raise the same amount (and more) over the rest of the season.

Pledges can be made via Twitter to @Darlogoals or email to Darlogoals@gmail.com Payments can be made after each game, monthly, or at the end of the season

Good luck!
