Stockport County are the only side still with a 100% record after the midweek fixtures in the National North division. On Tuesday they won 3-1 at neighbours Stalybridge Celtic, who had won their opening fixture. A goal in first half injury-time from Courtney Meppen-Walter put the visitors in front. Jimmy Ball levelled for the hosts, but goals from John Marsden and Josh Amar sealed the win for Stockport.

Boston United remain pointless after a 2-0 defeat at Harrogate Town, courtesy of goals from Dominic Knowles and Lloyd Kerry.

Relegated Halifax Town twice came from behind to earn a point at home to Altrincham. James Lawrie gave the visitors the lead, but just four minutes later Tom Denton levelled for Halifax. Jake Moult regained Altrincham’s lead early in the second half, but Jordan Sinnott made it 2-2 seven minutes from time.

Kidderminster suffered a surprise defeat at home to Brackley. Goals from James Arnison and Alex Gudger put Brackley in control. Tyrell Waite pulled one back for Harriers, but they fell to a 2-1 defeat.

Tamworth beat Worcester City, 1-0, thanks to a late goal from Jack Lane.

FC United of Manchester made it two draws from two after sharing a goalless draw with AFC Telford United.

Alfreton thumped Gainsborough Trinity 4-0 thanks to goals from Craig Westcarr, Sam Smith and a double from skipper Dan Bradley.

On Wednesday night Bradford Park Avenue and Curzon Ashton played out a cracker as they shared eight goals in a 4-4 draw. Ben Mckenna and Stephen Dickinson had given Bradford PA an early 2-0 lead, but Liam Tomsett and Iain Howard scored to make it all square at the break. Paul Ennis put Curzon ahead for the first time before Chris Sharp levelled for the hosts. Danny Hall thought he had won the game for Curzon, only for Sanchez Payne to earn a point deep into stoppage time for Bradford.
