Darlington manager Martin Gray thought the atmosphere for the first game against Halifax was fantastic -- he spoke to Ray Simpson about that, Tommy Wright and the Halifax game ahead of Saturday's home game with Nuneaton.

MG interview

Quakers play their second game at Blackwell Meadows against Nuneaton, who have won their last six matches, including two against Tamworth, Quakers' promotion rivals.

Over the Christmas period we took four points from our two games with Halifax Town including a 3-2 win on our return to town on Boxing Day.

The results saw us move back up into fourth place in the league table ahead of Tamworth.

Nuneaton had started the season poorly, but a recent change in results has seen them fly up the table into 14th place. Their turn around in results has coincided, with a change in manager, as former Quaker Tommy Wright took over. They have now won their last four league games including two against Tamworth.

Nuneaton have won three of their eleven games away from home so far this campaign.

The two sides met in September, when we were held to a 1-1 draw. Despite Mark Beck opening the scoring, we were unable to hold onto our lead.

Our recent league form

Jan 1st FC Halifax Town (away) drew 2-2 Gillies, Burgess

Dec 26th FC Halifax Town (home) won 3-2 Beck 2, Gillies
