Following the discovery of two COVID cases in the Darlington squad this morning bringing the total to three, today’s home game against AFC Telford United has unfortunately been postponed.

The positive results came to light early this morning when the players concerned woke up and took a test. As a precaution, our whole squad must now self-isolate for ten days. The League was informed according to the protocol early this morning, and they agreed to postpone the game.

We share everyone’s deep frustration and disappointment considering that this was the first league game in front of supporters since March 2020. We would also like to thank AFC Telford United for their understanding.

The priority of the club is the health and safety of everyone concerned and we wish those who have tested positive a full recovery.
