Chairman and one of the founders of the group, Alan Bennett said; “I'm very happy that the group is expanding.

“We had an extra couple of members, a young lad that's just moved to the town and his dad, who shared some memories about their time following Darlington.

“The most positive thing about this group is that there's no pressure, we have ideas and plans for the future and what we can offer to the club but for now we are happy to turn up, have a chat about Darlington and make some new friends.

“We are setting up a car share pool for next season’s away games, and the pre season friendlies for those that are interested. The general feeling amongst the group is that we are very impressed with the new signings and feel very optimistic about next season. I'd also like to thank the staff at the Iron Horse for offering us their facilities for the group.”

The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday July 15^th. If you live in the Newton Aycliffe, Shildon or Bishop Auckland areas, just wander along to the Iron Horse for a 7pm start.
