Do you want to support the NHS in the fight against the COVID pandemic and be at the forefront of this ground-breaking programme of vaccinations?

Do you have a passion for caring for people and making them feel at ease?

Are you interested in supporting patients before and after they receive a potentially life-saving injection?

If you have answered 'Yes' to these 3 questions, then this role could be perfect for you!

About this role

This role is an opportunity to help the NHS support our communities against a pandemic that is affecting everybody. In this role as a volunteer, you will assist staff in ensuring that there remains a seamless flow of patients through the vaccination hub, including offering support to patients before and after vaccinations.

Time commitment: 2 x 4 hours shifts per week 

Days: Monday to Sunday

Location: Various locations available across the North East and North Cumbria

Responsibilities of the Role:

Meeting & greeting patients arriving at the vaccination centre and ensuring that all patients are supported in a respectful and a compassionate manner

Helping patients to navigate their way throughout vaccination centre post-vaccine

Marshalling any queues that may build, and managing the flow of patients in pre and post-vaccination area

Recognise and respond to patients' needs. This may include supporting people with impairments.
