Ben Liddle signs new one year deal

Midfielder signs new deal

Darlington Football Club are delighted to announce that midfielder Ben Liddle has committed his future to the club by signing a new one-year contract, subject to FA and league approval.

Ben signed for the club in August 2022 after leaving Bristol Rovers.

He made 39 appearances in all competitions last season scoring six times including a memorable last-minute winner at home to Blyth.

This new contract makes him the 15th player to confirm their place in the Darlington squad for the upcoming season.

Manager Alun Armstrong had this to say: "Ben is a quality player who will only get better once he’s had a full proper pre-season in him. He’s got a quality left foot as we’ve already seen and hopefully we will see a lot more of it this coming season."

Stuart Armstrong spoke to Ben to get his reaction to the news of his new deal and his hopes and aims for next season:
