Ben signs new contract

Long serving defender signs up for the 2025-26 season

The club is delighted to announce that defender Ben Hedley has signed a new one year contract, subject to FA and National League approval.

26 year old Ben signed for us from Morecambe in September 2019, which makes him the club’s longest serving player.

He has since made 189 appearances for us after making his debut at Gloucester City, playing at either left back or right back, and occasionally in midfield. He was a member of the team that drew at Walsall in the first round of the FA Cup in 2019, and was in the team that famously won at Swindon in the first round in season 2020-21.

Manager Steve Watson said; "Ben is our longest serving player now, and we were pleased when he said that he wanted to stay. He's an athletic player and gives us options in different positions."

Everyone at the club is pleased that Ben will be with us for another season, and wish him all the best
