More fantastic generosity from Darlington fans
Our Boost the Budget campaign for season 2022-23 closed at midnight on Tuesday, and raised an amazing £136,861, which means that since the club became fan-owned in 2012, Darlington fans have now raised over £1.6 million -- a phenomenal achievement for any level of football, let alone the level we play at.
Darlington chief executive officer David Johnston said; "Once again, Darlington fans have proved how much they love their club.
"We are in financially difficult times at the moment for various reasons, and so as a club we greatly appreciate every pledge that has been made. The money will not be wasted."
Manager Alun Armstrong said; "I'm really grateful for the financial support from the fans. I can assure you with the help and advice of the boards, I will work very hard to bring in the best value-for-money players I can."
