Bring a friend to the Ashton United game!

Darlington could go second in the table on Tuesday night, but the club needs your help to do so.

Quakers are playing Ashton United in the EvoStik NPL Premier Division at Heritage Park, and the fans can play a major part in helping the team stay on course for a third promotion in four seasons. Quakers have won their last six league matches, so they're in great form!

Quakers are three points behind second placed Workington, but have a better goal difference than the Cumbrians, so if they win on Tuesday, they will go second with leaders Blyth in their sights.

But the team needs the help of the fans, and as manager Martin Gray says; “We want the fans to be our twelfth man. The fans really can make a big difference in our promotion campaign.

“The atmosphere generated by them can be a big help. They helped to lift us when we were 3-1 down at Salford last week, and they were a big help when we beat Blyth home and away, and also at home to Stourbridge. We need as much support as possible. And a player always loves to hear the supporters urging him on, he gives even more effort.

“Their backing has made a big difference in the last three seasons, and we want them to turn out in force in our remaining home games. Now is the time to bring a family member or a friend, or for somebody who hasn’t been for a while to return.”

Quakers have won nine and drawn two of their thirteen home games this season, scoring 30 goals so far. In the last home game, striker Lee Gaskell scored one of the goals of the season – all of the fans who were in the ground that night talked about it for days afterwards.
