πŸ”₯ Match Preview

The Quakers go back on the road in the league after FA Cup success on Tuesday night when they travel to Buxton to face John McGrath’s Bucks.

Darlo come into this league game after a season-best performance at home on Tuesday night when they beat AFC Fylde 3-1 in an FA Cup replay thanks to goals from Cedric Main and Tom Platt in the first half and a final Will McGowan dagger in the second half.

Away from home so far, The Quakers have had good form with only one loss in four games and big wins against Marine and Alfreton and a point against King’s Lynn and are 6th best in the league on away form with seven points gained from a potential twelve.

Darlington’s opponents, Buxton, have had an alright start to the season so far and are 11th in the table. Last season, the Bucks finished inside the playoffs but lost to Chester in extra time in the quarter finals.

At The Tarmac Silverland Stadium this season, Buxton haven’t had the best start with two wins and two losses in their four home matches, which puts them 17th in the league for home form with six points gained from a potential twelve.

Last time the two sides met at The Tarmac Silverland Stadium, Buxton walked out 2-0 winners with goals from Josh Popoola and Ethan Fitzhugh, but this time The Quakers will look to get their first ever away win against Buxton. However, they beat Farsley at Buxton last season when the Yorkshire side were forced to move the fixture.
