Nathan scored an incredible 43 goals during the season – 36 for Harrogate RA, and 7 for Darlington – well ahead of his nearest rivals, and he was awarded the Golden Boot in front of a packed house at the league’s presentation night in Blackpool. The one goal that Darlo fans will remember the most, of course, is the goal that broke the deadlock in the play off final against Bamber Bridge, and set us up nicely for promotion.

Nathan said of his goal in the our promotion programme; “When Gary Brown’s throw was coming into the box, I knew Alan White would win the ball, and I gambled on where it was going to drop and just got away from the defender ready. It came exactly where I was hoping and I caught it just right. “That’s my game, I think I’ve only scored three this season from outside the box, all the rest are from close range. My game is about finding a little bit of space in a crowded penalty area and taking advantage of it.”

Darlington manager Martin Gray said; “What a fantastic achievement by Nathan. Let’s hope he’s in the same scoring form next season!”
