πŸ”₯ Match Preview

Darlington look to make it three wins on the bounce as they travel to the Deva Stadium to take on 4th place Chester on Saturday.

The Quakers are looking for a late push for a playoff spot, with four wins from four games needed until the end of the season to give them a fighting chance.

Darlo will come into this game after a 4-2 win over Farsley Celtic when Jack Maskell was on fire with two goals with Caden Kelly and Sam Hetherington adding to the scoreline.

Darlington’s away form has steadily improved this season and in their last away game the Quakers were 3-2 winners over Warrington.

Chester are only six points off the top spot so they will be looking to give themselves as much of a chance at it and or have a better chance going through the playoffs.

The Seals are without a win in three, which will bode well for Darlo.

Chester’s home form is very strong being third best in the league with 12 wins and seven draws in 21 home games at the Deva Stadium.

The first meeting between both teams this season was a 1-0 win for The Quakers as Cedric Main’s goal early in the second half was enough to keep the three points at Blackwell Meadows.

πŸ‘€ Player Spotlight

The Chester squad includes the familiar name of ex-Quaker Jack Lambert, who was at the club on four separate spells. Lambert joined the Quakers on loan from Kidderminster this season, and he scored a goal in a 2-1 victory over Hereford.

The top goal scorer for Chester this season is Tom Peers, who has 18 goals and two assists. Darlo will look to keep him quiet like they did in the reverse fixture at Blackwell Meadows.

Declan Weeks has been a creative spark this season as he has set up 17 goals for his teammates, with him being especially dangerous from set pieces.
