Quakers still looking for first away league win

Chorley got the first corner of the game on the left hand side, but the inswinger was headed away by Toby Lees.

Chorley then had a long throw in from the right, but the referee penalised the ome side for a foul in the area.

Quakers fell behind after 8 minutes, when they lost possession just inside their own area, and the ball ran to George Horbury who hit a left foot shot from just inside the area, that went into the net off a the left hand post.

Quakers replied when a free kick from the left was headed away eventually as far as Will Hatfield, who volleyed first time towards goal, and keeper Matt Urwin dropped to his knees and saved.

However, Hatfield went off injured a few minutes later, and was replaced by Joe Leesley.

Good play by Caden Kelly stretched the Chorley defence on the left, and when the ball came into the middle, Kallum Griffiths was pulled up for handball.

Chorley were awarded a penalty on 25 minutes when Kallum Griffiths was adjudged to have brought down Craig Hewitt as he burst into the area, and Mo Touray scored from the spot.
