Darlington had to settle for a point after being two goals up at one stage.
Josh Scott made a good block in the opening minute after Ricardo Dinanga ran at the Darlington box.
Aidan Rutledge had Quakers’ first chance on 5 minutes. He picked the ball up on the right hand side, cut infield to the edge of the area, and curled a left foot shot wide of the left hand post.
Telford won a free kick on the right after 7 minutes, but the ball was curled over everybody and the ball went out for a goal kick.
Quakers almost scored a goal on 12 minutes when Will Hatfield crossed from the right for Jack Maskell, who was moving away from goal, to put in a glancing header that Brandon Hall saved at full stretch.
But Telford nearly scored on 16 minutes with a right foot shot by Alex Fletcher from the edge of the area, which just went past the post.
Quakers took the lead on 17 minutes when Cedric Main found Will McGowan inside the area, McGowan fired towards goal, and all the keeper could do was palm the ball out, only for a defender to put the ball into his own net.
They had another chance when Main got round the back of the defence on the left, and pulled the ball back for Maskell, who couldn’t quite turn the ball in.
Telford almost levelled on 30 minutes when Orrin Pendley whipped in a corner from the right for Oliver Bandres to head just wide at the far post.
But it was 2-0 on 34 minutes. A good patient build up involving several players with play moving from right to left, ended with Main finding Josh Scott on the overlap, and the left back struck a low shot that went across the keeper and into the bottom right corner
They nearly got a third on 39 minutes , when Main crossed well from the left to the back post, where Rutledge’s header seemed to be going in, until Hall somehow pushed the ball against the post
Half time: 2-0
The lively McGowan nearly scored a third five minutes after half time. He picked the ball up just outside the box on the right, beat two men as he ran inside, and then hit a left foot shot just over the top.
Quakers thought they have had a penalty when Main raced into the box and went down under a challenge from Jahdahn Harper, but the referee waved play on.
McGowan then forced Hall into a full length save from a curling free kick with the keeper saving Rutledge’s follow up, and from the following corner, Maskell couldn’t quite keep his effort down.
Telford had a half chance when they got into the Darlington penalty area, but McGowan and Forbes managed to crowd the Telford player out.
But the visitors shocked Quakers by scoring on 69 minutes. They got the ball up the left hand side, and it was pulled back for Remi Walker to sidefoot home from ten yards.
Quakers had a left off on 76 minutes when Jameson and Scott Barrow collided as they went for a left wing cross, Barrow stayed down, and just as Rhys Hilton put the ball in the net, the ref blew up so Barrow could get treatment. Telford were furious.
Quakers recovered and nearly scored a third when Main chested down McGowan’s pass for Tom Allan to drive over the top.
Main hit a shot on the turn that Hall held on to , but they were forced back in the remaining minutes , and right at the end, Dylan Allen-Hedley ra through and slotted in the equaliser.
