Scorer: Main 23 mins, 0-1, Ibbeston 32 mins, 1-1, McGowan 45+4 mins, 1-2
Darlington won for the first time at Chorley as a fan owned club thanks to a superb goal by Will McGowan.
The Gateshead loanee scored his tenth of the season, after Chorley had cancelled out Cedric Main’s opener.
Quakers weren't at their best, but nevertheless it was the first win at Chorley as a fan-owned club in eight visits, and the first win at Chorley since 1989 when Brian Little was manager.

Chorley won the first corner on 2 minutes, but Quakers, playing against a stiff breeze, got the ball away through Ben Hedley and Tom Allan.
Chorley won another corner when Pete Jameson touched a Harry Ibbetson effort over the bar, and when that corner came in, Mark Ellis headed over the top.
The Magpies won a free kick on the left and the ball was curled in by Moore, but it was overhit and Allan again got the ball away.
Then Chorley launched a long throw into the box from the right which Ellis headed over the bar.
Quakers had their first opening on 8 minutes when Max Howells flicked the ball on for Cedric Main to cross into the middle from the right, but Tom Allan couldn’t reach it.
Chorley had a penalty shout when Tom Carr chased a long clearance into the Darlington area and went down when challenged by Hedley, but the referee waved play on.
Quakers had their first shot at goal on 13 minutes when Aidan Rutledge and Cedric Main combined to set up Max Howells, who fired straight at Matt Urwin from twelve yards.
Chorley replied when Ibbitson set up Taelor O’Kane, but Jameson was ready to hold his effort.
The home side had their best chance yet when Scott Wilson played the ball on his outside to Joe Nolan in the box, and his first time left foot shot was pushed over by Jameson.
Quakers stunned Chorley when they went in front against the run of play on 23 minutes. McGowan found Howells breaking away from the offside trap on the right, and he ran on and squared the ball for Main to sidefoot past Urwin for his ninth of the season.
Chorley levelled though on 32 minutes when Lalkovic helped the ball into the box for Ibbetson to sidefoot past Jameson.
Jameson prevented another goal with a good stop from Ibbotson, then Carr got through on the left and put the ball into the six yard box, where Toby Lees got in a great tackle to deny the home side.
Quakers went back in front in the fourth minute of stoppage time with a gem of a goal by McGowan. After Rutledge won the ball, Main played it on to McGowan just outside the box, and he delightfully curled the ball left footed over Urwin for his tenth goal of the season.

Chorley kept the pressure going, and O’Kane headed a left wing cross over the bar.
Chorley were then reduced to ten men when Mark Ellis was sent off for an alleged elbow on Lees as the ball came into the box from the right.
The home side kept going, and Howells stopped one break inside his own box, then Jameson saved a long range free kick from Adam Blakeman.
Quakers had a chance on 70 minutes when Howells’ right wing cross cross was cleared as far as Allan, whose low shot was blocked by a defender.
After Allan was harshly pulled up for a foul, the free kick was played into the box for Carr to fire straight at Jameson from ten yards.
However, McGowan played a 1-2 with Allan and had a deflected shot saved.
Quakers made their first sub, Kallum Griffiths coming for Howells on 78 minutes
The score was nearly 3-1 on 81 minutes when McLaughlin burst forward and set up Rutledge, who curled the ball just wide of the right hand post.
