Community partnership with Darlington Support goes from strength to strength

Joanne Cameron appointed co-ordinator

The Club is delighted to learn that our partnership with Darlington Support has been further strengthened by the inclusion of our Matchday Events Manager, Joanne Cameron, into Darlington Support’s group of coordinators. The purpose of the group is to support residents requiring help across our town by organising the efforts of volunteers who can provide assistance.

Each ward or area in Darlington has a Ward Champion who is a volunteer that is responsible for ensuring that all the requests for support in their area are completed. They achieve this by coordinating their team of dedicated and hard-working volunteers. This team also consists of Coordinators for the various projects and groups that we run and a representative from Darlington Borough Council, together with the trustees.

Joanne, who has been volunteering for Darlington Support for some months now, said: “Darlington Support have been supporting residents requiring help across our town and there are hundreds of volunteers who all work very hard and give up their time freely. I am extremely proud to have become a member of the team that help to co-ordinate projects, namely between DFC & Darlington Support”.
