Here’s an opportunity for you to keep fit and cycle to Walsall in aid of Prostate Cancer UK!
On Friday November 1st, there will be a static cycle available in the Dolphin Centre, and the Darlington FC Foundation is inviting you to cycle for a few minutes on the road to Walsall – without leaving the Dolphin Centre.
All you need to do is to turn up at the Dolphin Centre between 10am to 11am, or midday to 1pm, or 3pm to 4pm, and our Football in the Community staff will set you on your way. Our target is to cycle the 160 miles to Walsall, where we’re playing our first round FA Cup tie on 9th November.
All you need to do to participate is to make a donation to Prostate Cancer UK!
Foundation Head coach, Liam Coates, said; “One of our Foundation’s aims is to encourage people to exercise, and this is a different means of doing so. People don’t need to cycle for long – just a minute or two will do – but they’ll feel better for it, and a worthwhile cause also benefits. Maybe some people will take up cycling because of the experience.”
