Darlington FC reaffirms shirt sleeve sponsorship agreement with Teesside International Airport

Announcement comes as airport relaunches air link to London

The board of Darlington Football Club is delighted that Teesside International Airport has reaffirmed its sponsorship agreement with the club for the next twelve months.

Teesside International will continue to sponsor its local team, with the airport’s logo displayed on the shirt sleeves of the Vanarama National League North squad’s home and away kits. The agreement also includes a working business partnership with benefits for each party.

The Club has worked well with Teesside International Airport over the past year and is looking forward to further developing this partnership during the forthcoming season.

The announcement came just days after Teesside International reopened its doors to passengers following the coronavirus pandemic, and launched its first flights to London in more than a decade as well as the new destination of Newquay.

Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen said: “Darlington FC is a much-loved local team that means a lot to people in the town. We’re proud to once again pledge our commitment to the club and continue to be part of its story. This pledge is another way that Teesside International is giving back to local people and businesses as well as working to secure great routes for passengers.”

Dave Mills, Darlington Football Club Community and Operations Consultant added: “These are exciting times for the football club, on and off the pitch. We are delighted to reaffirm this partnership with Teesside International Airport and we will work together for the benefit of everyone in our local community.”
