Darlington sign Hazeem Bakre on loan

Striker arrives from Middlesbrough

Darlington have today signed striker Hazeem Bakre on loan from Middlesbrough.

Hazeem, who is 19, started his career at Huddersfield, and was a prolific scorer for their under 18s for two successive seasons.

He then joined Middlesbrough last year, and impressed with three goals in two matches, including a brace against Newcastle United.

He was given a contract for this season, and has scored six times in nine games in the Premier League 2. He had a loan spell with Dagenham and Redbridge earlier in the season.

Hazeem will go straight into the squad for Saturday’s home game with Marine.

We would like to thank Middlesbrough for their help in sorting out the loan, and we would also like to wish Hazeem all the best whilst he is with us. He is on loan with us until the end of the season.
