Darlington started the season in the Durham County Under 18 league with a 3-1 home win over Spennymoor Town.

The first 20 minutes was a battle and very even, and Darlo scored on 30 minutes through Lewis Rees, and controlled the game thereafter. Mathew Raisbeck scored when he found himself one on one with ten minutes before the break, we were in total control. Soon after the start of the second half Raisbeck finished a deep cross from Jordan Lee for 3-0! Declan Waters scored a consolation for the visitors with five minutes to go. There were standout performances from James Marley and Alex Nelson.

The next game is at Durham City on Tuesday night, kick off 7.30.
