π₯ Match Preview
The Quakers play their third successive home league game and will hope to continue their fine form when they welcome Curzon Ashton to Blackwell Meadows on Tuesday night.
Darlo come into this midweek fixture after a 1-0 win against local rivals Spennymoor Town, thanks to a fantastic finish from Cedric Main in the 90th minute, which helped push The Quakers up to 6th place in the table.
The month of November in the league has seen a real upturn in form for the Quakers, with four wins in a row in the last five league matches, with three coming at home. In the last three home games, Darlo have scored 11 goals and conceded three.
Darlington’s opponents, Curzon Ashton, have started the season well and find themselves 8th in the league, only one point behind Darlo, with 27 points gained after 18 games played, with seven wins and six draws, with 30 goals scored and 24 conceded.
The Nash come into this game after a 1-0 away to Worksop Town, where a late goal by Chi Ezennolim helped bring the three points back with Curzon.
Curzon have been a very strong team away from home this season, with only four wins, four draws and only one defeat in nine games, with 19 goals scored and 13 conceded for a total of 16 points out of a possible 27.
The last two times the clubs have met, both ended in 0-0 draws, but The Nash haven’t lost when travelling to Darlington since March 2018, when a late goal from Dave Syers won the Quakers the game.

π€ Player Spotlight
The top scorer for The Nash this season is midfielder Alex Curran, who has six goals and one assist. He rejoined Curzon from Macclesfield last season and slotted into the team, carrying on his impressive displays from last season.
Curzon have once again been tough to beat this season. This is partly down to the new goalkeeper signing, Callum Hawkins, whom they signed from fellow National League North side Leamington. He had the boots of Bobby Jones to fill last season and has stepped up.
