Darlo get straight back into cup action when they welcome Fylde to Blackwell Meadows for the second time this season in an FA Cup third qualifying round replay. The prize for the winners will be a home tie with Telford on 11th October.

The Quakers made the trip to Mill Farm over the weekend when after taking the lead early into the second half thanks to a brilliant strike from Charlie Lennon for his first goal for Darlo, the Coasters responded with two quick goals from Taelor O’Kane and Charlie Jolley. Thankfully for the Quakers, Aidan Rutledge was the hero and got on the end of a goalmouth scramble and equalised in the 93rd minute to bring the game to a replay.

To get to the Third Qualifying Round of the FA Cup, the Quakers had an away trip to Bootle, where, after trailing at half-time, they came back thanks to two goals from Will McGowan and a goal from Tom Allan.

Craig Mahon’s Coasters reached the Third Qualifying round after a 4-1 win against Bamber Bridge, with goals from Danny Ormerod, Tom Whelan, George Wilson, and Luca Thomas proving to be too much for the Northern Premier League Premier Division side.

This will be the third meeting between the two sides already this season, with the first meeting this season being in the league, when Fylde were 3-1 winners.

πŸ‘€ Player Spotlight

The top scorer for The Coasters this season is youngster Danny Ormerod, who scored against Darlington in the league meeting and has six goals to his name in the league. He has scored a brace in their most recent league fixture against Peterborough Sports.

The Coasters have 24-year-old Zac Jones in goal, who pulled off some really impressive saves to prevent Cedric Main, Jack Maskell and Charlie Lennon from grabbing his second of the game on Saturday afternoon. Confident with his feet, the keeper is comfortable going long and playing out from the back.
