Two goals in the last five minutes gave Fylde the points after Quakers had battled back into the game.

Quakers went an early goal down, but replied with Elliot Forbes' header from a corner.

The game could have gone either way in the second half, but Fylde scored twice in the last five minutes for the points

Fylde had two chances in the opening minutes that forced Pete Jameson into early action.

First, he pushed a left foot shot from Charlie Jolley over the bar, and then in Fylde’s next attack, Luca Thomas broke on the left, cut inside, and Jameson palmed his effort over the top.

And then the ball was played through Jon Ustabasi, who beat the offside trap, but as Jameson advanced, he slipped the ball wide of the left hand post.

But Quakers fell behind on 8 minutes. A long throw from Kieran Coates on the right was flicked on for Danny Ormerod to come in at the back post and head home.

Quakers tried to respond, but Cedric Main was denied on the edge of the box, then Ben Hedley put an effort over the top.

Will McGowan did well to send Main away up the left, but his low cutback was intercepted.

Quakers won their first corner on 24 minutes, but the Fylde defence got the ball away

Fylde always threatened with their pace, and Thomas got away through the middle but dragged his effort wide.

When Quakers did get the ball into the box from Josh Scott’s cross, Hatfield, Rutledge and Allan were all crowded out by several covering defenders.

However, they levelled from a setpiece on 35 minutes. There was quite a bit of pushing and shoving which the ref had to sort out before McGowan curled the ball in for Elliot Forbes to head firmly home.

And they nearly went ahead on 43 minutes when Ben Hedley found McGowan on the edge of the area, and his shot took a deflection and rolled just wide of the right hand post.

Quakers were forced into a sub in first half stoppage time when Main was injured in a clash of heads, so was replaced by Jack Maskell

Half time 1-1

In the second half, Scott Barrow did well to stop a Fylde attack just inside his own penalty area.

Maskell then drew applause for chasing a defender and charging down his clearance before firing straight at the keeper.

Hatfield then just failed to get on the end of a nod down from Rutledge just a few yards out.

But Fylde responded with a quick break which won them a corner which Forbes managed to clear, but when the ball came back into the area it took a deflection and Jameson just managed to keep the ball out.

Another quick attack though by Quakers saw Rutledge and Hatfield combine and set up Forbes, who fired just over the top.

They nearly took the lead on 70 minutes when Allan found Hatfield in the area, and he got the bye line and pulled the ball back for McGowan, who put his effort over the bar from eight yards

The game went from end to end after that, but it was Fylde who took the lead on 85 minutes when they broke down the inside right position, and the ball was rolled acrossfor Ustabasi to tap in
