Quakers went out of the FA Trophy to National League Harrogate at Blackwell Meadows.

Having played just three days beforehand against Solihull, Quakers didn't have enough stamina to overcome a team that is placed third in the National League.

Quakers had their chances in the game, but didn't take them especially in the second half.

But they also had Chris Elliott to thank again for some good saves.

Justin Donawa made a good run on 3 minutes when he flicked the ball over the two defenders down the right, but another defender got the ball away for a corner that was held by Cracknell.

On 10 minutes Donawa played a good crossfield ball to Stephen Thompson, who stepped inside a defender and fired right footed just over the top from the edge of the box.

Harrogate went close on 13 minutes when Ryan Fallowfield broke down the right and crossed into the middle for Mark Beck to have a sidefooted effort deflected just wide.

Donawa again nearly broke through on the end of a Campbell pass, but a defender just got the ball away, and when the ball came back out Thompson’s shot was deflected wide.

Quakers had to make a sub on 23 minutes when Liddle pulled up, and had to be replaced by Watson.

On 28 minutes, Diamond made ground up the left, and when the ball was half cleared in the middle, Kiernan scuffed his shot wide.

With the wind behind them, Harrogate took the lead on 32 minutes. A clearance by Harrogate was helped on by Beck and Kiernan for Diamond to run through and slot past Elliott.

And Diamond nearly got a second with a 25 yarder that Elliott just managed to push over the bar.

Quakers nearly levelled when Donawa controlled a crossfield pass by Hatfield, sidestepped a defender, but his left foot shot was blocked by Cracknell.

George Thomson nearly got a second when he picked up a through ball on the right and fired just past the far post.

It was nearly 2-0 when Beck put Kiernan through and Elliott saved his shot, quickly recovered and blocked the follow up by Thomson.

At the start of the second half, Kiernan got away on the end of a through ball, but fired weakly past the post.

Kiernan made another good run up the left on on 56 minutes and pulled the ball back for Thomson, who struck a fierce effort against the angle of post and crossbar.

But Quakers nearly levelled on 57 minutes when Thompson picked the ball up on the left, ran forward and hit a thunderbolt that Cracknell turned around the post.

Kiernan made a good run down the right on 62 minutes and went down under pressure, but the ref waved play on.

Kiernan nearly scored on on 69 minutes, with a dipping shot from the edge of the box that glanced off the top of the bar.

Donawa showed some great skill on the right on 71 minutes to get away from his man, and pulled the ball back into the box for Thompson to fire wide at the back post.

Quakers nearly levelled through when Thompson burst past a defender into the box, and his shot was blocked by Cracknell.

Quakers threw men forward , and from a Rivers free kick, Donawa volleyed wide from the edge of the box.

Thompson put a right foot shot wide of the left hand post.

But Harrogate made the game safe on 87 minutes when Lloyd Kerry picked the ball up, ran forward a few yards, and hit a blistering right foot shot past the helpless Elliott.
