The Quakers look to build on a positive result in the FA Cup as they return to the league to welcome Hebburn Town to Blackwell Meadows.

Darlo come into this fixture after a big win in the FA Cup, where the Quakers had to fight back after going 2-1 down to Redcar Town and were able to produce the comeback and win 4-2 on the day with goals from Dylan Stephenson, Toby Lees, Ben Hedley and Mark Beck to help get into the next round of the FA Cup.

The Quakers are still looking for their first win at home this season, with the side not being able to click yet at Blackwell Meadows, with four losses in our first four home games, but will be coming into this game hoping to find those first home three points of the season.

Darlington’s opponents, Hebburn Town, are newly promoted to the National League North and have started the league very well, currently sitting 5th in the table after nine games played with five wins and two draws, with 15 goals scored and 15th conceded, for a total of 17 points.

The Hornets come into this fixture after a disappointing performance in the FA Cup with a 4-1 loss at home to Guiseley, with the sole Hebburn goal coming from former Quaker Tom Allan.

Away from home this season, Hebburn have won one and drawn one of their four away games, scoring four goals and conceding ten, which has gained them four points and puts them 17th in the away form table.

The two sides have met before back in the Northern League Division One in the 2012/13 season, with the last meeting being a 7-1 win away for the Quakers, with braces from Amar Purewal and Craig Gott and goals from David Dowson, Terry Galbraith and Chris Emms. The last home meeting saw the Quakers win 1-0 with a goal from David Dowson.

Max Kilsby is working on recovery and is back training on grass and may be available after next weekend.

Max Howells and Tom Platt remain out with hamstring issues but are nearing a return to training.

Will Hatfield is on track and doing specific training and is hoping to return soon and is hoping to be available for selection in the next few weeks.

Scott Barrow remains out indefinitely with a heart condition.

Aidan Rutledge is back available after serving his suspension for his red card.

Toby Lees should be available for selection for Saturday’s game after coming off against Redcar Town.
