Hereford started on the front foot, and Tye Barton did well in the second minute to head away a dangerous cross from the right on his six yard line.

Jack Maskell then won a free kick on the right which eventually was cleared out to Scott Barrow, whose powerful drive was blocked

The game was confined to midfield after that, but Quakers won a corner on 25 minutes which McGowan and Allan worked well for McGowan to set up Cedric Main to sidefoot home, but McGowan was flagged offside.
In Quakers next attack, Richardson had to come dashing out of his box to clear from Maskell off a long ball from Barrow.
But Hereford missed a good chance off a left wing corner by Sterling-James, that Kyle Howkins headed over the top.
Quakers took the lead with another setpiece on 35 minutes. A left wing corner was curled in by Allan for Main to have a header blocked, but Maskell was there to force the ball over the line for his third goal in four days.
Quakers nearly got another in the next minute when Maskell got away from his marker down the left and pulled the ball back for Main to have a close range effort well saved by Richardson.
In the last action of the half, Main was fouled just outside the box, and McGowan curled the free kick around the wall towards the bottom left corner, but Richardson saved well.

But Hereford nearly scored at the other end, Michael Parker burst through on the left and set up sub Andy Williams, who fired just wide.
Quakers then gave the ball away to Lawson D’Ath in midfield, and ran to the edge of the box where he hit a right foot shot that Jameson saved.
Quakers made their third sub on 74 minutes, Charlie Lennon coming on for Tom Platt.
The home side had a penalty appeal turned down when McGowan latched on to a pass from Main in the area and seemed to be barged over, but the referee waved play on.
Again, Quakers nearly had a second on 81 minutes when McGowan found Rutledge on the left, and he held off a defender to get into the box and fire a right foot shot just wide.
