Opening home game against relegated club
Darlington start their ninth campaign in the National League North with a home game against relegated Kidderminster, and they’ll be hoping to maintain the momentum of last season when they escaped relegation with a run of 12 wins from 22 matches.

Scott Barrow makes his second debut after signing on a permanent basis
Pete Jameson also makes his second debut after returning from Harrogate. He last played for Quakers in 2017.
Elliot Forbes, Jack Maskell, Alex Payne, Archie Small will all be included in a Darlington squad for the first time.
Jarrett Rivers will be include in the squad -- he scored the winner against Kidderminster in 2019.

Kidderminster
Kidderminster were relegated from the National League last season after just one season. They won promotion via the play offs in season 2022-23.
They are managed by former Hull boss Phil Brown, who earlier in his career played for Hartlepool.
They will include two former Darlington players – Jack Lambert and David Davis
