The Quakers focus now on the league after a disappointing performance in the FA Trophy when they welcome Peterborough Sports to Blackwell Meadows on Tuesday night.
Darlo bowed out of the FA Trophy at the weekend in a 3-2 defeat at FC United after being 1-0 up at half time.
Before the FA Trophy game, Darlington were in good form with two great wins back to back against Worksop Town and Kidderminster, and with another four league games in November, the Quakers will look to keep up that form in the league and continue to push for the playoff spots. They could go ninth in the table if they win tonight.
Darlington’s opponents, Peterborough Sports, are 23rd in the league but have recently gotten a couple of wins over good opposition, and they’ll look to get another as they travel to Blackwell Meadows.
In the league this season, the Turbines, who are managed by former Hull City boss Phil Brown, have won four and drawn two of their 16 games, with 16 goals scored and 30 goals conceded and currently have 14 points.
The Turbines come into this game after a win in the FA Trophy against fellow NLN team Oxford City, where goals from Connor Wood and Ben Beresford were enough for them to progress to the next round.
The two clubs have met six times before with the most recent game being a forgetful one for Darlington with a 4-1 away defeat but the last time the two met at Blackwell Meadows a last minute goal from Toby Lees helped The Quakers gain a point in a 2-2 draw.

π€ Player Spotlight
The Turbines have struggled in front of goal this season; however, a bright spark for them has been Luca Miller, whom they signed from Kettering Town, where he made his name, notably, putting in a man-of-the-match performance against Northampton Town in the FA Cup last season. The young midfielder has found the back of the net three times this season, most recently against Chorley.
The Peterborough Sports squad also features former Quaker Kaine Felix, who was a livewire against Darlington last season, when he scored in the 2-2 draw at Blackwell Meadows. Kaine was signed on the eve of the 2022/23 season when he scored on his debut against Gloucester City, he then departed the club midway through the 2023/24 season. He is known for his pace and direct playstyle down the flanks.
They also include another former Darlington player, Theo Williams.
