Quakers came from behind to secure their sixth win in six friendly matches.
Both sides had chances in the opening half. Darlington keeper Pete Jameson made two good saves in the first half hour, while Cedric Main forced the Dunston keeper into a save at the foot of his post following a good run.
Jack Maskell, playing against his previous club, and Aidan Rutledge were also just off target.
Dunston took the lead on 39 minutes when their triallist centre forward headed a right wing cross past Jameson.
Aidan Rutledge almost levelled at the start of the second half, but the keeper saved his close range header well.
Quakers turned the game around in the space of six minutes, scoring three times. Toby Lees headed an inswinging corner from Will McGowan from six yards out on 62 minutes then Jack Maskell collected the ball 30 yards out, powered past two defenders, and fired home for a great goal.
Then Will McGowan put the Dunston defence under pressure, and a defender panicked and put the ball past his own keeper.
Quakers wrapped up their sixth win of pre season when sub Jack Mortimer headed in a cross by Will Maddison
