EBAC become home front of shirt sponsor

Return of the popular local company

Darlington Football Club are delighted to announce that EBAC have stepped in to become our home front of shirt sponsor for this season and also for the 2024-25 season.

EBAC’s previous stint as our front of shirt sponsors began in 2018, with an initial two-year deal eventually extending through five seasons until the end of our 2022/23 campaign.

The company continued to support the club this season, changing to be the back of shirt sponsor for the men’s shirts and the front of shirt sponsor for our women’s team, but they immediately stepped forward to offer their support for the front of shirt sponsorship deal again.

Given the recent situation the club has found itself in with the ceasing of trading of our previous sponsors NuLeaf, we are immensely grateful to EBAC for quickly agreeing this renewed and extended deal, continuing their fantastic and vital support of the club in these last several seasons.

Darlington Chief Operating Officer David Johnston said; “We have always enjoyed a great working relationship with EBAC since the club returned to Darlington, and we are delighted that they stepped forward at such short notice to become our home shirt sponsors again not just for the rest of this season but next season at well.”

EBAC’s founder and chairman, John Elliott MBE DL, said: “We believe Darlington Football Club should be in a higher league than it is today and we are very happy to help in this journey.”

John founded EBAC as Elliott Brothers Air Control back in 1972, building dehumidifiers along with his brothers. By the end of the decade their turnover had reached £1 million, while the 80s saw them expand their range to domestic dehumidifiers, along with John receiving his MBE for services to small businesses.

In the 90s, the company expanded globally, also adding water coolers to their range, and becoming market leaders as well as pushing at the front of rapid technological advancements. In the 21st century, EBAC has grown to 250 employees, with a factory handling new products such as washing machines, ventilation systems and heat pumps.

We are sure that all Darlington fans are delighted that EBAC are continuing to support the club in this way.

The Darlington players will be wearing EBAC shirts for this Saturday's home game with Bishop's Stortford -- and it would be great to celebrate their return with a win.
