Darlington produced one of their most memorable comebacks in recent years to win 4-3 at promotion rivals Salford City. Despite being 2-0 and 3-1 down, goals from Tom Portas, a double from Lee Gaskell and one from Nathan Cartman ensured the Quakers brought all the points back to the North East.  The victory saw Darlington move up to third in the league table, above Salford, still 11 points behind leaders Blyth Spartans with four games in hand.

On Tuesday night a youthful Quakers side were knocked out of the League Cup, 3-1, at Ossett Town.

Blyth are still clear at the top of the league after demolishing bottom of the table Ramsbottom United. Former Quaker Wilson Kneeshaw had a day to remember, as he scored all five goals for Blyth in a 5-0 win.

Workington fell further behind Blyth after a surprise defeat at Whitby Town. Whitby won 1-0 at the Turnbull Ground thanks to a goal from Michael Roberts just after half-time to help their survival chances.

Barwell moved into the final play-off spot with a 2-0 win at home to Hyde United. Jamie Towers scored the first goal after half an hour, with Joseph Ballinger sealing the win in the second half.

Stourbridge are only a point outside the play-off places after victory over Colwyn Bay. Stourbridge had to wait until the final quarter of an hour, but Daniel Scarr and Ashley Vincent’s late goals gave them the 2-0 win.

Ashton United threw away a 2-0 lead against Rushall Olympic to damage their promotion hopes. Jason Gorton and Adam Morning had put them in control. However, goals from Alex Reid and a double from Jamie Spencer saw Rushall win the game 3-2.

Nantwich Town stopped their recent slip down the table with a comfortable victory over Halesowen Town, 3-0. Sean Cooke and Elliot Osborne put them in control during the first-half, with Matthew Bell sealing the win.

Stamford helped their chances of avoiding relegation with a 1-0 victory at home to Frickley Athletic. Jake Newman scored the only goal of the game in the 87th minute.

Marine also helped their chances of staying up with a dramatic win over Matlock Town. Matlock appeared to have won the game thanks to a Laurie Wilson penalty. However, two goals in injury time from Lewis Codling and a Danny Mitchley penalty gave Marine the 2-1 win.

Mickleover Sports are now only two points outside the bottom four after two defeats this week. On Saturday they lost 1-0 against Sutton Coldfield, Aaron Forde scoring the only goal of the game.

Mickleover also lost on Tuesday night away at Matlock Town. Niall McManus scored the opener after 17 minutes, with Laurie Wilson sealing a 2-0 victory for Matlock in the second half.

Skelmersdale United moved further away from danger after a 2-1 home win over Ilkeston.  Dylan Vassallo gave Skelmersdale an early lead, but Michael Williams levelled for Ilkeston just after half-time. However, Robbie Booth won the game for the hosts with twelve minutes left.

Skelmersdale won again on Tuesday night with a 4-1 win against Rushall Olympic. Max Hazeldine scored twice, along with goals from Robbie Booth and Dylan Vassall for Skelmersdale. Jordan Fitzpatrick scored a late consolation for Rushall.

The final game last Saturday saw Buxton beat Grantham Town 3-0 thanks to goals from Alex Wiles, Jamie Green and Ashley Worsfold.

Away from the league Nantwich Town and Stourbridge finally were able to play their FA Trophy third round tie. It took until the 89th minute for a goal, but Stephen Jones came up with the winner for Nantwich to send them through.
