First women's training session very encouraging

Great turn out at Eastbourne

Our women’s squad had a very encouraging first training session on Wednesday evening.

16 players attended our first session at Eastbourne on Wednesday, and all of them showed plenty of potential.

Manager Shaun McKenzie said; “It was a really good session and I was really impressed with the talent on show.  We’ll be training again next week, and new players are still welcome.”

The club is entering its first women’s team into the Durham FA League next season, and everyone is looking forward to the first game.

We will announce the date of the next training session at the weekend, depending on the England result in the Euros on Saturday.

We are looking to recruit female players aged 16 or over to join the new squad. If you have experience playing in the Women’s game or are ready for the next step or challenge, then please get in touch to register your interest.

Please email girlsdevelopment@darlingtonfcacademy.co.uk for further information or contact manager Shaun Mackenzie on 07935122160

Games will be played on Sunday afternoons, kick off 2pm.
