Former Boro player signs for Quakers
Darlington FC Women are delighted to announce their third signing of the summer, Greta Siderman-Wolter.
Greta is 17 years old and started off playing her youth football with Darlington Spraire Lasses, before having spells at both Teesside RTC and Sunderland RTC. Last season Greta played for Middlesbrough F.C Women U23s and was part of the title winning squad that won the FA Women’s National League Reserve Division North.
Manager Shaun Mackenzie said about the latest signing; “Greta has been training with us most of pre season and has played in a number of our pre season friendlies. She has bags of potential and is a great technical player. I think once Greta settles in and gets to know the players, she will be a real asset to the squad when she gets used to the environment and how we do things at Darlo. She has already shown glimpses of her talent in pre season but I know there’s definitely more to come from Greta.”
Greta, who will wear the squad number 29 for the 25/26 season said: “I wanted to sign for Darlington because since I’ve came here, the group have been great and really welcoming and friendly. They are a hard working team and it’s something that I wanted to be a part of.”
Greta will go straight into the squad for Sundays FA Cup game against Heaton Hawks Ladies on Sunday 24th August.
