A fantastic all round team performance contributed to the Academy side recording their first win and clean sheet of the season by 4-0 against Hartlepool.

The visitors were in control throughout and arguably should have won by an even more comfortable margin.

It was one of those performances where everyone put at least an 8/10 but a special mention to stand out performances from Charlie King who displayed composure and leadership in the middle of the park and our hat-trick hero Hari Bondarenko who finished his chances brilliantly.

Harry Hodgson added a fourth with a well-struck effort from 20 yards. The win provides a platform and a belief for the boys to build upon as they move through the season.

Next up for the Academy is an FA Youth Cup tie at home (Northallerton Town) on Wednesday 18th September, 7.45pm kick off. Spectators welcome.
