Job vacancy: Secretary for youth section

Urgent help required

Our successful and growing youth section is urgently in need of a secretary.

Our youth section consists of 22 male and female teams, ranging from ages 5 to 18, who play in the Teesside Junior Football Alliance and Russell Foster Youth League. Following the resignation of the previous jobholder, we urgently need a voluntary person with previous football experience to look after the day-to-day administration of our youth section.

 

Experience is essential in the following areas:

  • Liaising with the RFYL and TJFA regarding fixtures
  • Liaising with Durham FA
  • Knowledge of the FA Whole Game System and how to navigate it
  • Liaising with Darlington Borough Council, local schools and Eastbourne Sports Complex
  • Dealing with SLA and Hire agreements
  • Liaising with players and their parents/carers

 

The responsibilities of the jobholder also include:

 

  • Chairing meetings of the Club Core Committee in the absence of the chairperson
  • Taking minutes of club meetings
  • Liaising with the FA on any fixture and player matters
  • Organisation of fixtures with the TJFA and RFYL
  • Dealing with player discipline matters arising out of league matches
  • Leading on pitch allocation for matchdays and dealing with the referee co-ordinator
  • Liaising with the first team for player and coaches passes for matchday entry
  • Taking an active role in the organisation of club tournaments, events and presentations.
  • Liaising as necessary with the Darlington FC club secretary
  • Being an ambassador of Darlington FC at all times
