John Woolnough resigns as Finance Director

Work commitments

The Board of Darlington FC is sorry to announce that John Woolnough has resigned as Finance Director, in order to allow him more time to concentrate on his business and family demands.

John was appointed earlier in the year, and has helped stabilise the accounting processes and cash flow monitoring, as well as helping to develop the squad through his knowledge of Caribbean footballers. John has committed to continue to point out players with potential for assessment by manager Alun Armstrong and and assistant Darren Holloway.

Darlington FC Chief Executive Officer, David Johnston, said; "We're sorry to lose John's skills and experience, but we understand the time commitments placed on volunteers. Thanks to John for his contribution during his short time on the  board, and we wish him well."

The search for a replacement FD has now commenced.
