π₯ Match Preview
The Quakers will look to replicate midweek success as they hope to start a run of form when they travel to Aggborough to take on Kidderminster Harriers on Saturday.
Darlo come into this away trip after a fantastic response on Tuesday night, when they won 5-1 against Worksop with goals from Aidan Rutledge, Will McGowan, Max Howells, Charlie Lennon and Jack Maskell.
This season, Quakers have had a decent record on the road with three of their five wins this season coming when travelling away, but The Quakers have lost their last two away trips against Merthyr and Radcliffe, so a response will be needed to carry on the Worksop form.
Now two games into November, Darlo still have five league games and a FA Trophy trip to FC United of Manchester still to come, when a strong month and performances similar to Worksop on Tuesday can change the expectations of the season for the better
Darlington’s opponents, Kidderminster, have had a strong start and currently sit 4th in the league with 27 points.
The Harriers come into this game after a 2-1 win at home against Bedford Town, where, after conceding early, a response from Jack Aidan Clarke and an own goal in the 21st minute meant Kiddy are now unbeaten in their last five.
At Aggborough this season, Kidderminster have been hard to beat, with only one loss in eight games played. They have been good at getting results and tend not to score many, with only 12 goals scored and 12 goals conceded.
Last time the two clubs met at Aggborough, the Quakers would walk out 1-0 winners thanks to a Cedric Main finish in the 77th minute.
π° Team News
Alfie Myers-Smith is out for at least a fortnight.
Will Hatfield is out for the season with a cruciate ligament injury.
Kallum Griffiths and Josh Scott both have groin injuries, and will be missing for at least a fortnight.
Pete Jameson remains out with a hamstring injury
Cedric Main is out with a knee injury.
Tye Barton now starts a three-match ban after his red card against Merthyr
π€ Player Spotlight
Ryley Reynolds has been the biggest attacking threat for Kiddy this season, finding the back of the net three times. The 20-year-old is in his second loan spell from Notts County. His last goal came in a 1-0 victory over Spennymoor.
Left back Reece Devine has been a creative outlet for Kidderminster. The former Manchester United youth player has one goal and four assists from left back this season and will look to cause problems down that left-hand side.
