Kiddie had the first attempt of the game, Dan Mooney picked the ball up on the right, moved inside and struck a low shot that Ombang saved.

Then Kiddie forced a corner on the left which was swung in, but Ombang palmed the ball away.

The home side won another corner on 4 minutes which came out to Mooney, and he struck a low shot that was cleared off the line by Aidan Rutledge.

Mooney was stretchered off with an injury on 11 minutes and was replaced by new signing Gyasi.

Quakers had their first chance on 15 minutes. Toby Lees let Ben Hedley’s cross go over him for Aidan Rutledge, but keeper Dibble held on to Rutledge’s effort from an acute angle.

They nearly scored on 20 minutes. Will McGowan did well to find Rutledge in the area, and the striker created a little bit of space for himself and hit a right foot shot on the turn just wide of the right hand post.

Kurt Willoughby went close with a right foot shot for Kidderminster, then Tom Platt had a header blocked from McGowan’s corner.

Quakers had another opportunity when Maskell picked the ball up on the left and floated it to the far post where Rutledge’s header was saved.

Kiddie nearly scored on 34 minutes, but Ombang got down well to his right to push the effort away from Willoughby then Max Howells got a goal saving block in, again from Willoughby, when the ball ran loose.

Quakers should have been behind on 39 minutes. Sho-Silva headed a right wing cross against the post with Ombang beaten, and the ball came out for Sho-Silva to put over the top from a couple of yards.

Quakers took the lead in stoppage time. There was a patient build up on the left, which ended with Scott Barrow crossing for Aidan Rutledge to head firmly home at the far post, his third goal of the season

Half time: Kidderminster 0 Darlington 1

Quakers put the Kiddie defence under pressure at the start of the second half and McGowan had a shot blocked, but the home side went up the other end and Owen Evans fired over the top.

Kidderminster levelled on 51 minutes. They broke away from a Darlington corner, and the ball was crossed in from the left for Ryley Reynolds to volley home left footed.

Quakers nearly regained the lead instantly, Ben Hedley drove into the box and curled a right foot shot towards the bottom corner, but Dibble saved well.

Kidderminster had a good spell of pressure, and Sho-Silva headed another good chance wide.

But battling Quakers then made three subs to maintain their energy levels, with Howells, McLaughlin and Hedley all going off, Charlie Lennon, Tom Allan and Ellis Stanton all coming on.

Quakers were furious on 74 minutes when Jack Maskell controlled a long ball, stepped inside and seemed to be stopped by a defender’s hand, but the referee penalised the Darlington player for handball.

Kidderminster nearly caught Quakers on the counter, when Gyasi found Spokes, who fired across the face of goal, then sub Siziba ran into the area, and Ombang pushed his shot against the post.

Quakers snatched the winner on 90 minutes. There was some confusion in the Kidderminster defence over a long clearance by Ombang, a defender miscued, and  Cornish nipped in and prodded the ball home. He then took his shirt off and ran into the other half of the field and celebrated in front of the travelling fans.
