πŸ”₯ Match Preview

Darlington will look to keep the good results coming when they travel away to Leamington at the New Windmill Ground on Saturday.

The Quakers have had their last two scheduled games postponed against Alfreton and Chorley; they will play their first game in over a fortnight, with the last game being away at South Shields on 1st January, when Cedric Main’s finish 30 minutes in was enough to take the points back to Blackwell Meadows.

The Quakers are on a solid run of form, going unbeaten in the last eight games.

Leamington will host the game at their New Windmill Ground and will want to get back to winning ways after suffering a 4-1 defeat to Chester in midweek.

Leamington have been good at home with 23 points gained in their 12 games. In those 12 games, they have been able to get seven wins with two draws and only three losses.

The Brakes have been a goal threat at home with 24 goals, which puts them third in the league for goals at home, but defensively, they have struggled, conceding 16 goals, which is more than they have conceded away from home.

Darlo will be coming into the game in high spirits after a great result against South Shields last time out, and three players in Jack Lambert, Will Flint, and Caden Kelly all extending their current loan deals.

The last win the Quakers had at the New Windmill Ground was a 1-0 win in 2022 courtesy of a Junior Mondal goal.

Earlier in the season, Darlo gained their first victory of the season with a 1-0 win against Leamington with a fabulous strike by Will Hatfield.

πŸ“° Team News

Ali Al-Shabeeb is doubtful because of injury.

Since the last game on New Year's Day, Caden Kelly, Will Flint and Jack Lambert have all extended their loans.

πŸ‘€ Player Spotlight

The star man for the Brakes this season has been Cally Stewart, who has 14 league goals. However, the striker has joined League One side Shrewsbury Town this week.

Henry Landers has four goals and two assists this season and has become the club’s top scorer due to Stewart’s departure. He will be without his strike partner on Saturday.
